They Still Taste Good, Even If They Are Low Glycemic Recipes!

Low glycemic recipes are beneficial for everyone but especially people who find themselves in one of the following categories:

• Diabetics

• Hypoglycemics

• Persons with insulin resistance

• Overweight individuals

• Athletes

A low glycemic food plan helps to:

• Balance blood glucose and insulin levels

• Reduce excess body fat levels

• Increase sports performance

You can create your own healthy food recipes with many variations. When you think of yourself repeatedly being on one diet program after another, it seems like work, but healthy eating plans, for some reason doesn't sound so daunting.

It can be easy for everyone (or at least manageable). I know quite a few people who treat their food as medicine and that seems to help keep them on track too. Be sure to ingest enough calories per day to meet the needs of your own body.

The healthy recipes I’ve included here are some of our family's favourites compiled over time. Eating healthy doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice good taste or never treat ourselves.

You can also find information relating to low glycemic eating at the Glycemic Research Institute.
